In downtown Franklin, beautiful historic homes are very popular and Garden Gate Homes is providing a new option – creating historically inspired, new homes with incredible craftsmanship and modern amenities. Here’s more on their story recently highlighted by the Tennessean and info on the two beautiful homes available through the LCT Team.
Garden Gate Homes – New Historic Homes
The Immerfalls recently sold their home and bought a brand new build from Garden Gate Homes – although it may not look brand new. The Tennessean noted Garden Gate Homes specializes in building homes that look historic and renovating existing historic houses.
“It’s like living in a postcard,” Suzanne Immerfall said about her new home.
Matt Christensen, owner of Garden Gate Homes, is passionate about urban neighborhoods and making the homes in the livable and modern.
Lisa Culp Taylor of the LCT Team has recently been working with Garden Gate Homes – selling some of their latest builds – and says that homes with historically accurate designs are becoming increasingly popular.
“Tucked in among native trees, the home looks like it’s been there forever,” said Lisa. “They are really investing in the downtown area.”
Modern Historic Homes, Convenient Locations
The convenience of living in a home in an urban neighborhood is something a lot of homeowners are seeking. Most Garden Gate Homes are within walking distance of restaurants and shops in the downtown Franklin area.
“For a year, we looked all over, but when push came to shove we decided to stay,” said Suzanne. “We love downtown Franklin, the sense of community, being able to walk to dinner.”
The Immerfall’s previously lived in a home built in the 1950s, so they were looking for something that would be more reliable, but in the same area as their old home with the same historic flair. Their new home has the historic feel they wanted, but has many modern qualities such as an open floor plan, a “man cave” for Mark, and a proper studio for Suzanne, a professional artist.
