I have a friend who grew up in Franklin and still calls it home. She reminisces fondly about how Franklin used to be a little hamlet, quiet and full of farmland as far as the eye could see. Every time we go out, she points to some new building and tells me a story of how things used to be. As a native, I adore Franklin and love the energy and vibrancy of new businesses, homes and influx of people have brought to our community. But, I do understand her point. Franklin today resembles nothing of Franklin yesterday. In a short amount of time, it’s gone from a “town” to a “city” in its own right, though I’d argue all day long that it’s done so without losing its small-town appeal. But, I do understand that the new Franklin isn’t for everyone. Good thing, then, that we’ve got the new Nolensville to be the old Franklin!

New Nolensville – Preserves Roots, Creates Beautiful Neighborhoods

When Franklin was a one-horse town, Nolensville was a no-horse village! It was miles and miles and miles of undeveloped land, an old feed mill and a few civil war battlefields. Then, Franklin started pushing eastward and the new Nolensville was born. Like Franklin, Nolensville has done a wonderful job of preserving it’ “roots,” but unlike Franklin, it still qualifies as a small town… only now it’s close enough to Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville to have that quaint, village feel with all the conveniences of big city living just a few miles away. The Nolensville Chamber of Commerce has done an excellent job of living up to their community tagline: COMMUNITY, HISTORY, PROXIMITY. It’s a delightful little burg and I’ve had the privilege of selling quite a few homes here. Many of those homes have been sold to former Franklin residents who want to recreate the Franklin of their youth and they couldn’t be happier in their new town!

Benington – Planned Community

Today’s focus home is located in the heart of Nolensville in the delightful Benington neighborhood. Benington is a fantastic, planned community with all the amenities and is full of charming homes on spacious half-acre lots.

A gorgeous, light-filled living room showcases more shiplap behind the gas fireplace and surrounding the brilliantly designed wet bar.

Gourmet Kitchen – Culinary Dream – Open Floor Plan

The gourmet kitchen is open to the family room and is a culinarian’s dream. Expansive white cabinetry, gleaming subway tiles, a huge center island with quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances are wrapped in a plethora of gorgeousness that I can’t quite articulate. Take my word for it… this kitchen is stunning!

It’s as amazing as the main level master suite that showcases a soft gray palette, crown molding, bay windows and a lighting fixture that may or may not still be here at closing lol. I covet that fixture. I want that fixture to be mine, but I’ll be good. If you buy this home, though, can I come visit the fixture? Alternatively, I’d be happy to just move into your new master bathroom. It’s better than my favorite spa and that’s saying something!

Spacious Bedrooms – Outdoor Living

Moving on… There is another secondary en-suite bedroom on the main level for maximum convenience and flexibility and two additional bedrooms on the home’s upper level. All the secondary bedrooms are outfitted with crown molding, lighted ceiling fans and plush, wall-to-wall carpeting. A large bonus room and exercise nook round out the upstairs living space, but please don’t overlook the outdoor living potential of this home!

A beautiful covered porch, accessible from the family room, features a ceiling fan, recessed lights and impressive columns. An open-air patio, boasting the same diamond patterned concrete foundation provides more than enough space for alfresco dining and lounging.
