Williamson County Census numbers are out and it reports a 44.7% growth rate in the county. Franklin & Brentwood have gained status in city size as well.According to the 2010 census the Williamson County population has grown to 183,182. The predictions were putting it at 185,000, which was very close to the actual. There has been tremendous growth in the county as well as the Middle Tennessee region.The majority of Williamson County’s residents live in the county’s six cities. Franklin remains the county’s largest city at a population of 62,487.This is great news for the city of Franklin. The numbers are a bit higher than what the city had projected. Franklin has experienced strong growth over the past 10 years. They expect continued growth in years to come as well. Franklin city officials continue planning for additional growth while maintaining the great features that make Franklin a great place to live.
