Perhaps I’m dating myself, but I know exactly how Sally Field felt when she won her Oscar, strode to the stage to accept that statue and uttered her famous line, “You like me… you really like me.”  Because you, my faithful readers and my darling clients and my treasured friends voted me the “BEST REALTOR” in Greater Nashville House & Home & Garden’s 2015 Reader’s Poll.  And it kind of feels like an Oscar and a Grammy and an Emmy all rolled into one big honor because it came from you!  

 
Last year was an incredible year.  I had the honor of serving as President of the Williamson County Association of Realtors.  I was able to give more time and provide more assistance to causes near and dear to my heart.  I expanded my fur-baby family.  My team of trusty associates grew.  And I listed and sold more homes because you trusted me with one of your most important possessions, perhaps your biggest investment and your family’s well-being.  Believe me, I don’t take any of that for granted. 
It was also a very, very busy year and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.  I was able to rededicate myself to some of my basic business principles: a commitment to offering clients a personal and unique home buying or selling experience, a strict and unwavering professionalism from my first meeting with a new client to my last hug with new friends, and a deep understanding that you hire me to provide a service and that you expect my very best.
So what about that idea of commitment? What does it really mean?  For me, it meant that I was available to answer questions about new home construction versus “older” home charm, assist with home improvements by sharing the names and numbers of Williamson County’s best plumbers, electricians and home maintenance specialists. It meant that I provided guidance in securing mortgages, offered support and advice on “just right” pricing and helped clients transition from their old home to their new one.  It meant that I was exceptionally available to answer your after-hours call, meet with you one more time and offer wisdom that has come with almost twenty years in this ever-evolving business of real estate.
Embracing professionalism means more to me than just a few glossy business cards and a zippy website.  It means that I strive to remain up to date on market trends, that I utilize the newest and best technologies to ensure that you’re getting sound, up-to-the-minute advice and that you’re benefitting from the most effective marketing and sales strategies. It also means that I’ve assembled a team of smart, savvy and energetic colleagues who’ve been well-trained and well equipped to help you with everything from scheduling a photo shoot to arranging that final home inspection. 
And then there’s service… I know that you have many, many choices when it comes to hiring someone to help you sell your home. And I know that Greater Nashville House & Home & Garden gave you many great Realtors to choose from and asked you to choose just one as “the best.”  What set me apart from the rest of the pack?  What made you choose me?  If I’m being honest, I know it’s not just because you “really like me.”  It’s because I contracted with you to provide an exceptional service experience.   And hopefully, I did just that.  I think I did.  Greater Nashville House & Home & Garden and your votes help me believe I did. More importantly, it motivates me to do more, be more and continue to grow as your Realtor, your confidant and your friend.  This was a great gift and a huge honor and I truly, truly thank you!
